The City of Richardson Names Kathleen Murphy Willer as Featured Artist for 50th Anniversary Celebration
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the prestigious Cottonwood Art Festival, the City of Richardson today announces that Kathleen Murphy Willer has been named 2019 Spring Featured Artist. The long-running art event will be held May 4-5 in scenic Cottonwood Park.

The scores for the Art Fair SourceBook™ 2019 rankings reveal that Cottonwood Art Festival is moving up in the Top 10 fine art and fine craft events in the country. The year-over comparison of the AFSB ranking for Cottonwood Art Festival are as follows: 2019 Fine Art Ranking #7 and 2018 Fine Art Ranking #10.
OIL PAINTER BETTY NASH RETIRING FROM FESTIVALS
Oil painter Betty Nash has announced that she is retiring from the festival circuit this year. Nash was first selected by a jury panel to show at Cottonwood Art Festival in October 1999 and October 2018 was her final farewell to festivals. Although Nash is a native Texan, she and her husband traveled to fine art shows across the country for decades.
COTTONWOOD ART FESTIVAL RECEIVES INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION AND FIVE PINNACLE AWARDS
Cottonwood Art Festival is honored to have been recognized at the 63rd Annual International Festivals & Events Association Convention, Expo & Retreat in San Diego, California. The City of Richardson Parks & Recreation accepted five prestigious IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards for the Festival.
