Cottonwood Art Festival is showcasing the 23 fiber artists this week as part of the Fan Favorite campaign this Fall season. The entire weekly series extends into November and encompasses all of the other categories: Ceramics, Digital Art, Drawing/Pastels, Glass, Jewelry, Metal, 2D Mixed Media, 3D Mixed Media, Painting Oil/Acrylic, Painting Watercolor, Printmaking/Graphics, Sculpture, and Wood. September 14-18 is focused on this category:
- Fiber: All work crafted from fibers including basketry, embroidery, weaving, leatherwork, tapestry and papermaking.This can be wearable or non-wearable. No machine tooling, machine-screened patterns or other forms of mass production are permitted. No factory produced wearable items, regardless of additional modification or enhancement by the artist, may be exhibited.
Voting opens on Monday, September 14, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. CST and closes at the end of the week on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. The artist selected as the Fan Favorite winner is announced at the conclusion of the voting on the website and Social Media.
